Trob comp 4Students with computers at Taurama Primary School

In the developed world, children have the world at their fingertips through the internet. In Papua New Guinea, very few children have access to a computer even at school, and many have never even seen a computer. As part of the School Library Program funded by NZAID, HOPE worldwide (PNG) has provided computers to over 20 primary and high schools in various parts of the country. Generally second-hand computers (donated from Australia, New Zealand, and PNG) are used. However at Gumine High School new computers were donated by AusAID, powered by solar power – the first such classroom in PNG.
